Worth the stop, but plan accordingly.ĭrinks were solid, if not a little pretentious, and on the pricey side, I'd say an average of $12-$15 for a cocktail. There is an upscale restaurant half a block away (oak & reel), but not much else in the area. It's fair to note, this is an up and coming area, i wouldn't call it a walkable area. It's bigger that it looks when you walk in, there are more rooms behind the bar. Was the perfect complement to my food.Ĭompletely recommend this place. In fact, I think I did - didn't want any of it to go to waste! Could be a little thicker, but it was delicious. Had the 'Whiskey Buffalo' sauce - sweet version of Buffalo sauce, with a very small hint of Jack. Crispy and light on the outside, moist and juicy on the inside. The tacos we surprisingly tasty - not surprised that they were tasty, but they were tasty in a surprising way. Definitely better than your typical bar food. The bartender said they cut their own tenders, so I had them too. It was Taco Tuesday so I tried one of each taco. Bartenders were friendly and the alcohol was well stocked. Had live acoustic music from a local musician. I'm so glad I did! What a great little place! Was headed to another restaurant when I looked down the intersection and saw this place. Wasn't planning on going out into downtown this far away from the hotel, but there wasn't much open.
